Testing Center

The Kodiak College Test Center provides a wide range of assessment services in a low-stress, friendly environment. Our aim is to provide you with flexible timing, a quiet environment and personalized testing. Many instructors place all or some class tests in the Test Center so that you may take tests and quizzes when your schedule permits. Proctored BlackBoard tests, makeup tests and special accomodations are available by arrangement with instructors and the Test Center.

If you are a new student, or have not taken classes in the past two years, please come to the Test Center for Placement Testing before registration. Placement assessments are often available on a walk-in basis.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) TESTING • Test Site #AKL02 Information Technology Testing will be available in May, 2006.

FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA) TESTING • FAA and FCC Testing Site #99603 • Call 1-800-211-2754. • Social Security number and a credit card are needed. • Open (unscheduled) registrations may be scheduled directly with the Testing Center on a space- available basis, including same-day testing if available. Please note your locator number.

CLEP CLEP tests allow students to test out of a number of standard college courses, including languages, mathematics, and sciences, English and writing, history, and social sciences.

GED Fulfill your dream and Finish! We are Kodiak’s official GED test site. Preparation and pre-testing for the GED is available from Kodiak College’s Adult Basic Education (ABE) department, room 208 Campus Center.

OTHER TESTS Please call the Test Center at 486-1232 to arrange for proctor services for tests including: ASSET, Distance Education, Correspondence Study, Professional and technical certification tests required by government and other organizations.

 

 

Accuplacer Testing

Kodiak College uses Accuplacer testing to assess student placement and eligibility.
