What We Offer

The Kodiak College Test Center provides a wide range of assessment services in a quiet, low-stress, and friendly environment. Our goal is to provide you with flexible timing and personalized testing. Proctored Blackboard tests, makeup tests and special accommodations are available for eligible students.

  • If you have ADA concerns please notify the Test Center as soon as possible in order that your needs are met.
  • If you have  a test fee pay it prior to testing at the Business Office Benny Benson Building, room .
  • If you are enrolled in a UAA online course with proctored exams, you are required to complete a proctor request form. Proctor forms can be found at:

NEW! University of Alaska is now using ALEKS as a math placement assessment. Candidates can take the placement test unproctored anytime of the year, from any computer that has internet access. To use the Test Center computers, please make an appointment.
ALEKS Placement, Preparation and Learning (PPL)  You will need a UA ID, UA Username and Password. If you need assistance with obtaining these studentservices@koc.alaska.edu


Scheduling at the Test Center is done by appointment only. 

Make an Appointment

 Candidates can expect a response by email within 24 hours except on the weekends and holidays. Your appointment will be confirmed by the Test Center Administrator. Be sure to set your phone to Alaskan time and not Pacific time to avoid being late for your test appointment.

Exams Offered

Accuplacer (reading and writing) and LASSI, GED, FAA, Pearson Vue, CLEP, DSST, PRAXIS, GRE, HESI, Atlas, Castle and tests for online and face-to-face courses (at the request of instructor).

Test Day

Bring with you a current Government issued ID that has your photo and  signature; and the test fee receipt of payment if applicable. You will need your UA ID number for the Accuplacer.
No food or beverage allowed in the Test Center. Lockers are available to store your personal items.
