What We Offer

The Kodiak College Test Center provides a wide range of assessment services in a quiet, low-stress, and friendly environment for students and the community. Our goal is to provide you with flexible timing and personalized testing. The Test Center is in room 210 in the Campus Center Building.

  • If you have ADA concerns please notify the Test Center as soon as possible in order that your needs are met. Kodiak College is part of an ADA compliant university. Learn more.
  • Pay tests fees prior to testing at the Business Office room 123 in the Benny Benson Building. Bring the receipt with you on test day.
  • If you are enrolled in a UAA online course with proctored exams, you are required to complete a proctor request form. Fill out a proctor form.

Math Placement

NEW! University of Alaska is now using ALEKS as a math placement assessment. Candidates can take the placement test unproctored anytime of the year, from any computer that has internet access. To use the Test Center computers, please make an appointment.

Scheduling at the Test Center

Tests are by appointment only.  Before scheduling, take a look at the calendar below for days/times available.  Hours are subject to change to accommodate test appointment requests outside of regular hours.

Evening tests are available: uaa_koctesting@alaska.edu.

Make an Appointment

Candidates can expect a response by email within 24 hours except on the weekends and holidays. Your appointment will be confirmed by the Test Center Administrator. Be sure to set your phone to Alaskan time and not Pacific time to avoid being late for your test appointment.

Testing for Universities outside Alaska, PSI (LaserGrade and Atlass), CATS/FAA, including Unmanned Aircraft Systems; Pearson Vue (including GED, Placement testing /Accuplacer and LASSI), CLEP, DSST, Prometric (PRAXIS, GRE, and TOEFL), HESI, Castle Worldwide, ABC Certification, Associate Safety Professional exams, NCCT, ASE, KAPLAN, ASI (TEAS), ABYC Certified Marine Technician, ParaPro, Free testing for University of Alaska courses.

Test Day

Bring  a current Government issued ID that has your photo and  signature. If you are applying to UA you will need your UA ID number for the Accuplacer.
No food or beverage allowed in the Test Center. Lockers are available to store your personal items.
