Frequently Asked Campus Network Questions
What is my username?
A username is needed to log into our campus computer network, access UAA email, and use Blackboard. Most Kodiak College usernames start with ds followed by the student's initials - for example dsxyz. To find your username, click the Username Lookup link above. Enter your full name and student ID number, then click GO. If you need to know your student ID, click on "What's my UA ID"? If you have taken classes at another University of Alaska campus, send an email to Ian Bushell at ibushell@kodiak.alaska.edu to activate your username on campus.
What is my password?
When logging into the campus network, new students will not have a password, the field is blank. For returning students, your issued password may be your student ID, your social security number or something you changed it to in the past.
How do I change my password? OR I changed my password but forgot.
Click on Username Lookup above. On the left side of the screen, click the Directory Update link. If you already changed your password but forgot it, follow the directious onscreen. To change your issued password, login with your username and password (if your password is blank, use your student ID as your password here). On the next screen, scroll down to enter your new password in both password boxes. Click update, then logout. The next time you use a campus computer, UAA email or BlackBoard, use the new password.
