Academic Advising

Academic advising is strongly recommended for every student. The Academic Counselor can assist you in setting up a degree plan that will guide you toward your educational goal. It is important to get advising prior to registering for classes each semester.

Please call (907) 486-1211 to make an appointment.

Advising for Transfer Students

If you have credits from colleges you have previously attended or experience in the military, you may already have some credits toward your certificate or degree. Official transcripts will be evaluated during the admission process.

After your transfer credits have been evaluated, you should see the Academic Counselor to confirm what degree or certificate requirements have been met and which still need to be fulfilled.

Faculty/Departments

Students who are admitted to degree programs may also seek academic advising from the following faculty advisors:

pointer Katie Walker AAS, Undergraduate Certificate, and Occupational Endorsements in Computer Information and Office Systems (CIOS)
pointer John Durham AAS in Accounting, the AAS in General Business and the AAS in Computer Systems Technology
pointer Lorraine Stewart Coordinator of the AAS and Undergraduate Certificates in Technology
