We look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals.  Whether you are taking face-to-face or eLearning courses, you will be immersed in the unique coastal environment that is Kodiak Island.  Our class sizes are small and our faculty are dedicated to teaching well.  At Kodiak College, you can receive a quality education at an economical price.  To get started, you will need to determine what type of student you are.

 

First-Time Freshmen and
Transfer Students

The Degree/Certificate Seeking Student Checklist will help you get started!  Academic advising is critical to stay on track toward your goals, so contact your advisor today!

Lifelong Learners

If you are taking courses for personal interest or growth and do not plan to earn a certificate or degree, you can apply for admission and register at UAOnline.

GED Students or English Language Learners

Adult Basic Ed (ABE) offers free courses for students who want to earn their GED, learn English, or brush up on basic skills in reading, writing and math.

Senior Citizens

Alaska offers a tution waiver for students who meet the age requirement to be eligible for full social security benefits.  If you plan to use the Senior Citizen Tuition Waiver, you must wait to register until the day the course begins.

Military and Veteran Students

Learn about Servicemember Opportunity College (SOC) program for active duty military students and their dependents.

Veteran students, make sure you have applied for your veteran's benefits.

High School Students

Completion of the Secondary School Student Packet is required to take classes at Kodiak College.  Tuition subsidies may be available for students who take the placement test and attend New Student Orientation.

Early Accuplacer Testing is available in April 2012. Learn more or register now!
