Q7. How do I register for a class?
Students who would like to take a class will first need to apply for admission through UAOnline to establish an account with the University (see previous question). If you already have a student ID number (3XXXXXXX) but have not taken classes in the last five years, you will need to update your admissions in UAOnline. Please note that some courses require a pre-requisite or the appropriate placement test score before a student is allowed to register.
Most students will register for classes online through their UAOnline account. Instructions on how to register online are available or you can contact Student Services at 907-486-1266 or studentservices@kodiak.alaska.edu for assistance. Students who do not wish to register online may register on campus the week before classes start each semester.
High school students are not allowed to register online and follow a specific process to take courses at Kodiak College. High school students need to fill out the Secondary School Student packet and may register for classes on campus the week before classes start each semester.
