Submit an Application for Admission to a Degree or Certificate Program
Apply online at UAOnline. A $40.00 application fee is required and must be paid with a credit card to submit your application online. Call Student Services at (907) 486-1235 for directions if you do not have a credit card.

File for Financial Aid Admission to a certificate or degree program is required for most types of financial aid.

  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Apply online EARLY at The federal school code for Kodiak College is 011462. Call the toll-free number at 1-800-433-3243 for assistance between 8 am and 8 pm.
  •  Scholarships. Refer to the Kodiak College website for current local scholarships
  • Veteran’s Assistance Benefits. Apply online, call the VA Education line at 1-888-442-4551 or Kodiak College VA School Certifying Official at (907) 486-1214 with questions.

Submit High School Transcripts
Contact your former high school or GED-granting institution to have an official copy of your high school transcript or GED test scores sent to Kodiak College Student Services.  If you received your GED in Alaska, you can call (907) 465-4685 to order your transcript. Transfer students are required to submit official college transcripts from all colleges attended prior to enrollment at Kodiak College. Complete an Approved Placement Test
All degree-seeking students are required to submit placement test scores or proof of pre-requisites for college writing and math courses.  Make an appointment to take the test at the Test Center website; the cost is $15.00. Study guides are available. Test preparation assistance is available at The Learning Center, (907) 486-1203.

Meet with your Academic Advisor prior to registration
Academic advising is an important component of student success and academic planning is crucial in reaching academic goals. Contact your advisor to make an appointment or call (907) 486-1211.

Register for Classes!
Register at UAOnline, in person on campus, or on the U.S. Coast Guard Base.
