Conditions in Kodiak
As part of the Title III Sea Change grant, Remote Environmental Learning Stations (RELS) are being developed to provide students with a real-time look at the environment they are studying. These units consist of remote cameras and weather stations to collect precipitation amounts, to measure wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, temperature, dew point and relative humidity. The plan is to install 4 RELS around the island. Some locations, we have water monitoring equipment as well.
