Admission to Kodiak College

To qualify for admission, students must be at least 18 years old; have earned a high school diploma or GED; or qualify under special University programs.  Prior to registering for classes, all students must be admitted to Kodiak College.

Three Ways to Apply for Admission to Kodiak College

dot 1. To apply for admission online, go to uaonline.alaska.edu and click on the link to “Apply for Admission”.  Select the campus (Kodiak College) and application type (Degree Seeking or Lifelong Learner) and complete the online application.  Degree seeking students must submit a $40 application fee with a credit card to complete the online application process.  Students can check the status of completed applications online.  Incomplete applications will be removed from the system after 21 days....OR
dot 2. Applications for Admission are available on the Kodiak College website. Click on the link to your right to download the appropriate application type and print a copy of the application form you need....OR
dot 3. If you don’t have access to the Kodiak College website, NO PROBLEM!  Contact Student Services at Kodiak College at (907) 486-1214 to have an application faxed or mailed to you.  Or you can stop by the Campus Center at Kodiak College and pick up an application in person. 

IMPORTANT!
All new students and students who have not taken classes since Fall 2006 must turn in an Application for Admission. A completed Application for Admission will give students course registration access. Please allow 48 hours for your application to be processed before attempting to register online.

Degree/Certificate Seeking Students

Degree-seeking students take classes TO EARN A CERTIFICATE OR DEGREE. A $40 admission fee, official high school and/or college transcripts, and approved placement test scores must be submitted to complete degree seeking admission.  Call Registrar Jenny Myrick at (907) 486-1235 for admissions advising.  Academic advising is also available – call Barbara Brown at (907) 486-1211 to make an appointment.

Lifelong Learners

Lifelong Learners must complete the free application for admission and take classes for personal interest, professional development, job skills upgrade, or to maintain licenses or certifications. Lifelong Learners may become certificate- or degree-seeking students by submitting the proper paperwork and paying the application fee.

How to Submit an Application for Admission

If you apply online, your application will automatically be submitted when you complete the process.  If you fill out a paper form, you can submit it to the College by any of the following methods:
